This review is from: Fire on the Prairie (Mountain Majesty, No 7) (Mass Market Paperback)
John Killdeer wrote this book. I love his writing, he is almost as good an author as Louis L'Amour. This series is about the settling of the early west when only a few people were in this area at the time. All the books in this Majesty Series are full of action. Basically it is about learning how to survive in the west. If you weren't killed by the Indians or bad men, you would surely die of thirst in the desert or lack of enough food to make it through the winter. There were many men who fled to the west to keep from being hung, due to having committed murder or bank robbing in the east. Killdeer's Majesty Series is about a young white man married to an female Indian Warrior. It tells how the young man got into this situation due to his early boyhood and his vicious father, the cause that he ran from home. His journey from home on into the western country is met with all types of hardships. It tells about him and his mates struggles to survive in this western country. A very exciting series. Fire on the Prairie is about bad men wanting to kill him and his wife by setting the prairie on fire and how they survived this ordeal.
