4.0 out of 5 stars A lot better than Road to Wrestle Mania for GBA.
This is without a shadow of a doubt the best wrestling game ever for GBA. This has every Organization from WWF,WCW,ECW,FMW,NJPW,AJPW,UFC,M-Pro and a lot more. It has almost every wrestler from U.S.A.'s Stone Cold Steve Austin,The Rock,Rob Van Dam,The Undertaker,Hulk Hogan,Goldberg to Japan's Great Muta,Jushin Lyger,Tiger Mask,Great Sesuke,Yuji Nagata,Hayabusa,Ultimo...

This is a very good game, but I'd recommend getting the first one for GBA instead. This one has done away with many of the features of the previous game, like tournament, league, and audience match. One new feature is a Biography section that is a key to help you to identify the wrestlers because they are given fake names because of copyright issues. To unlock all the hidden guys got to the EDIT menu, select EDIT Superstar

Go to the name entry

On the first line type ALL

on the line below type WRESTLERS

on the line next to it type CLEARED.
All of the hidden wrestlers should now be unlocked.

THis game is awesome. Unlike the first one, this has biographies of the wrestlers to help you identify them. You could beat Iron Man Road on all three difficulty settings to unlock hidden wrestlers but why bother when you could just go to the edit menu

1. select edit wrestlers

Go to Name Entry

enter the word ALL on the First line

enter WRESTLER on the line below it.

And them on the line next to that enter CLEAR.
You should have all WCW,WWF,ECW,the MMA,Ledgends and all the japanese stars unlocked.

This is a very good game, but I'd recommend getting the first one for GBA instead. This one has done away with many of the features of the previous game, like tournament, league, and audience match. Now, in place of the audience match (career mode), they have a more traditional "fight your way through everyone" kind of career mode. The match types are the same (electricfied exploding cage, MMA, battle royal), but now without the tournament and league options. The roster is slightly updated, but not enough to matter (at least to me). So basically, this is a good game, but get the first one instead; it's better

5.0 out of 5 stars Wrestling at its very best, October 15, 2002
By
This review is from: Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (Video Game)
Fire Pro Wrestling 2 is just awesome. It is the game all wrestling fans have wished for.
**PROS**
The game has 200 wrestlers, as well as the ability for you to create your own wrestlers (you can save up to 75) You can also create your own wrestling promotion and add or trade wrestlers to it. Why is this game so great? You have wrestlers from WWE, WCW, ECW, FMW, AJPW, NJPW, and many more Japanese promotions. Not only that, you also have a wide variety of shoot fighters from PRIDE to Ultimate Fighting. There are various match types including Hardcore, Deathmatch, 2/3 Falls, Gruesome, BattleRoyal, and more. No matter who your favorite wrestler is you can find him in this game, if not, you can MAKE him!!Once you get the hang of this game you will have nothing but fun and this will be the only game you will play for a long, long time. This game is better than those on PS2 and N64 in many aspects.

**CONS**
The game has a steep learning curve. At first, you will find yourself getting beat by the sorriest of wrestlers. Practice in the Dojo and you will get better. I owned Fire Pro 1 before this one and I never played it until I got part 2 because I got into it and took the time to learn it. After you get the hang of it you will love it. Another con is that you start of with 10 wrestlers, you earn more as you play the Ironman Road, BUT, you can use a cheat code to activate all 200 wrestlers from the get go. Also, all of the wrestlers are under fake names due to licensing issues, BUT you can change the fake names to their real names.
**This game is suberb, it is well worth getting it, easily the best GBA wrestling game, even better than some of the next generation wrestling games. If you love wrestling in general whether it be Puroresu, American, Lucha Libre, Shootfighting, or Extreme Wrestling, this has it all in one package. You GOTTA love that!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Wrestle fans get ready to rumble., August 30, 2002

Well, to begin with, this review is based off the Japanese version of the game as well as recent information of the US release.
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages,BAM! entertain proudly brings to you, the finest wrestling game in the woooooooorld Fire Pro Wrestling 2!
Ok now that that is over with, In all seriousness, this game it excellent. To fans of the series expect the same excellent gameplay, and HUGE roster of wrestlers. To fire pro newbies welcome to addiction. So why the three stars?
Well to begin with, this game is for wrestling fans, not just WWE fans. Sure wrestlers The Rock, HHH, and Chris Benoit are in, but with different names and with different colored costumes and hair. The majority of wrestlers in the game are wrestlers in Japanese federations. Not that that is a bad thing, just something to be aware of.
Also Fire Pro games are HARD. To those familar with past WWE/f games like smackdown and Attitude the controls are very different. This game is all about timing and distance, not button mashing. This will drive away some of the more mainstream, not the hard core gaming people. It's hard to reccomend this game to anyone how does not want to take time learning the system.
Also the biggest flaw is, the lack of the Management of the Ring mode. In the japanese release, this mode put you in charge of a wrestling organization. This was taken out of the US game.
But if you want a good wrestling SIM this game is for you!

4.0 out of 5 stars Fire Pro Wrestling 2...Perhaps the best GBA game, honest!, October 13, 2002
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (Video Game)
Just like the title says, perhaps the best GBA game ever. Fire Pro Wrestling offers a lot more than the first one, this game has many more moves to experiment with. Next is the better background animation. The background music is...eeh, but the theme music sounds great. Then some my and may not have noticed, but there is a Women stance. And is skills, your body part strength has an Old Wound feature. Then a very neat thing about nthis game, more characters, such as Booker T, William Regal, The Dudleys, Tajiri, and much more. This makes the game alot more fun, because you can have alot more guys created that are real. Fire Pro 2 is probably better than a lot of other cnsole game sytems. There is no doubt about about it, Fire Pro 2 will do well on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars A slight improvement, November 2, 2002
This review is from: Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (Video Game)
Fire Pro Wrestling was one of the best underrated Gameboy Adavance launch titles, and now almost two years later the sequel has hit and it is just as good as the first.

Basically if you have played FIre Pro Wrestling, and are good at it, you will have no trouble picking up this title and dominating to competition. However in the beggining you only start off with around ten to fifteen guys. Now you still have the huge level of create a wrestler control but for the most part in order to unlock more guys you must do story mode on all three difficulty levels. It may seem like a pain at first but you get to choose two guys to take through with you. My first trip through was with a Create a Wrestler Named TOrnado Bomb and Anonymous.

OVerall this game is great to play if you haven't tried the series out before. However for those who own the first there is little that is new here, except a possible challenge here or there.

like you, i am a big fan of wrestling and video games. Fire pro wrestling 2 for gameboy advance is definally the best wrestling game out right now for the GBA! A lot of gamers don't like it because all their favoite wrestlers like stone cold or the Rock are not in it, but actually they are!! They are just giving a differnt name in the game w/ a differnt outfit. There's tons of WWE, WCW, ECW superstars and some old schools like the million dollar man and the super fly jimmy snuka.I guess tihs is due to the copyright issues. But all you have to do is go and change the name and the outfit. Wala! Stone cold in da house!!

4.0 out of 5 stars It's better than the first one, December 11, 2002
This review is from: Fire Pro Wrestling 2 (Video Game)
It may not be much to look at, slow wrestler animation, not particularly detailed arenas, but it sure is fun to play...at least once you get past the inital learning curve. While the grappling and throw controls will seem remarkably unresponsive to anyone raised on THQ's wrestling games, the games topnotch training dojo will help you quickly learn the ropes. The enemy A.I. is solid and challenging and the tide of a match can turn at a moment's notice, especially in the 4P Battle Royale. And while the "Iornman Road" may not touch SD!'s story mode in terms of backstage antics, FPW2's CAW mode is suprisingly robust, the list of moves, skin highlights, and poses goes far deeper than you'd expect this game to go. If you liked the first, you'll love FPW2, the sequel to the knockout hit.
