The gas lamp is relatively easy to assemble. Don't over think the assembly, and it can be completed within 25 minutes. When lit at night, it provides a beautiful flickering yellow light. It is not bright enough to read by (I was hoping I could use it for that when I bought it), but it does provide a nice romantic ambiance. It is a little difficult to light - it often takes 3 or 4 attempts to light it when cold. If it was more reliable on lighting up, it would get 5 stars.
