Packed with information!,

As a webmaster for an all Firebird website, I've found that this book contains much of the information I've needed to help people decipher VIN codes and option codes as well as give out some of the lesser known facts about the Pontiac F-Body. As a Firebird owner and enthusiast, I recomend this book as a "must have".

This book is basically the same as other "color" books, like the Corvette Black Book and the Camaro White Book. I was disappointed to see a lack of production breakdown information. While not all of this information may be available, it would have been nice to know how many cars were built in each color. The Camaro White Book does have this information for certain years as well as other option breakdowns. Perhaps the next edition can include this information. Much of it is already available on the internet and having it all in one location would be nice.

Most complete firebird Trans Am, formula, S/E, Esprit and GTA info i've seen in a small carry format. Not much larger than a dimestore novel, about 4.5" x7", carry it with you when checking out birds. Has a picture of every model year for quick ID. Lists production numbers, serial numbers, where it was mfr'ed, vin codes, engines, casting codes, carbs, heads, color int and ext, trim codes, vinyl tops and options. Condensed info, a small "Facts" section about the model year at the end of each year's chapter. Each chapter is an entire model year from 1967-1997, 160 pages of great info. Slightly small print, might give a farsighted person a little grief. |
