I love this thing. I got it for Christmas 2005 and came here to buy it as a gift for Christmas last year. When I first got it I thought I didn't need it since I had a set of other fireplace tools, but once I tried it there really is no comparison as far as for example a bellow goes - the firedragon is just so far superior.

The first time I saw this a buddy of mine used it while we were camping. The inside is hollow, with an opening between the fork prongs at the bottom and a mouthpiece on the top of the handle, so you can stick the fork in the embers of a fire under fresh logs, and blow concentrated bursts of air onto your fire through the length of the poker effectively and safely (provided you don't inhale without removing it first, of course!). Since it is hollow, it is very lightweight as well, weighing in at only 1.5 lbs. This item is a must-have for any camper!

Too infrequently we order things and are disappointed when they arrive but the blow poke is just as described. Made of, I believe, rolled steel, it is sturdy enough to turn the biggest fire logs and it gets air right where it's needed to stoke the fire. I use it for a cast aluminum chiminea and it works great!

Great product. We heat primarily with wood and this is a great tool. Keeps the ash mess down.

I make fires every day in my wood stove and this thing kicks ass. You don't even need bellows if you have this.

I started out with no tools for my fireplace, and upon finding this and using it for the first few times, I don't need anything else! The forked tines are perfect for picking up pieces of wood that have fallen off the grate, or moving big logs around on the fire while burning. The 'Blow Hole' feature is absolutely wonderful! Since I use my own natural logs from a branch that fell off my tree outside, some of them still have wet spots, when the flames die out I use this tool, blow into the embers, and WHOOSH up comes the flame again. I never have to relight with paper and matches so long as their is a red coal somewhere! Also, my husband takes great pleasure in just playing with it and blowing on the fire to make it bigger and flare up. So, an all-in-one lighter, poker/shifting tool for my fireplace AND entertainment for my husband (secretly making him do work) what's not to love! 100 % Satisfaction, and the name is cool too! :)

This is the best fire tool to come along. While other manufacturers have similar tools, this one is the most affordable and is wonderfully effective. It's a great weight - heavy enough to provide leverage when using it as a poker to move logs and light enough to easily manipulate. The ability to focus air on specific parts of the fire that you want to stoke is brilliant. No more bellows blowing ashes all over my living room.

The resistance to my first blow through the Firedragon made me worry that its small bore and length would not let me move enough air to matter, but no, the coals glowed angry red, the new log burst into flame and my eyebrows remained unsinged. Couldn't be better.

We have heated with wood for three years in a Jotul Firelight and this tool is great. It has a long reach for moving wood and coals around. The best part is that we can easily restart our fires in the morning. All it takes is some kindling on top of a few left over embers. Blow throgh the Firehawk and POOF the fire starts right up. no more putting our face in the firebox and blowing to get a fire started.

I gave this to my son for his birthday, he has an indoor fireplace as well as a fire pit in the backyard. It works just as well as the one that costs 2-3 times as much. I would recommend this product to anyone with indoor and outdoor fireplaces.
