The product is of high quality--Sturdier than I expected. However the product feature and description on Amazon may not be entirely accurate saying "Can be used with AK & SVD-type rifles ...... It features an easy to use quick detach mechanism and a picatinny/weaver type rail on top to mount virtually any kind of scope."

I tried it on both a AK74 and PSL, while the locking mechanism does attach to AK & SVD scope rails securely but the position are incorrect (especially on the PSL) due to the mount configuration which would not allow it fully slide in all the way; and the backward leaning weaver rail will fit red-dot scope and CQB scopes very well (since both are short in length) but a normal length (11-14inch) scope will NOT fit well on this mount because the position of the scope would then be too far back leaving no safe eye relief distance from shooter's eye (very uncomfortable to say the least).

It is quality stuff and probably good at what's designed for (short length scope and red dot sights on certain AKs) but I will have to return it since I need a mount that can take a normal length 3-9x on my AK. (Also, while the height of the weaver rail seems fine on an AK it would appear a bit too high on a PSL or SVD.)

sits to far back towards your face, does not line up top dead center over the barrel. sits about 1\4 inc off center.

Mounts to high for good cheek rest, buy a Russian low mount you'll be much better of, sent back to amazon
