Another action book,
By
This review is from: Firefight (Mass Market Paperback)
This was my third book from this writer. I was not impressed with it. Because the plot was very similar to other two I had finished. That means he can not come up with anything new. That was negative.
But in all this was another great action book from Chris Ryan, I enjoyed reading it. Action and political things mixed up. Nice

Undercover mission,
This review is from: Firefight (Mass Market Paperback)
In spite of a previous very negative review, I actually quite enjoyed reading this book about an undercover mission to prevent a terrorist attack. I was travelling and wasn't looking for something too demanding. It may not be completely accurate and at times the plot is stretched, but the action scenes are quite well written and the pace is well maintained throughout the book.

Ghost writer rides again?,

This review is from: Firefight (Hardcover)
Sadly this book joins the previous as a book that Chris Ryan cannot possibly have written himself. In a style and with content worthy of someone for which "Blackhawk down" is the closest they've come to the military this book just does not deliver. From a washed out ex-SAS person being allowed to run around freely in MI5 to checking the safety on a Glock - which has safety in the trigger - this is just to dumb. Although his earlier books were the real thing, the last few clearly have not been. Stay away.
