5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome game
This game puts you right in the middle of the action that firefighters face daily. It is like you are really there in a burning building. When your on a search and rescue mission you can hear creeks and groans, things fall and collapse near you, backdrafts lash out at you, and smoke makes vision tuff. The fire spreads like a real fire making it very realistic...

1.0 out of 5 stars the game stinks
I'm a real firefighter and the game lacks real life. I played the game for and hour and beat it. It is not exciting game. I would not buy this game again.

When your on a search and rescue mission you can hear creeks and groans, things fall and collapse near you, backdrafts lash out at you, and smoke makes vision tuff. The fire spreads like a real fire making it very realistic. Depending on the mission, you play in a first person view when your on a search and rescue mission or 3rd person view when your on fire containment. This game has great sound effects, the graphics could be better but they are still good. I highly recommend this game!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but too realistic,, April 12, 2001
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Firefighter - In the Line of Duty (CD-ROM)
This game is good, rated E and easy too use.The 10 missions have fire containment were you put out the fire and then search and rescue where you rescue the victims. Some places in clude houses, resturants and schools. The problem is the realness-You hear loud, female sreams that are sudden and scary. Overall, a good game, but to realistic. I turned the sound down, but then you can't here the "victims calling" and that can cause problems... So, I would recomend this game but be ready for time limited and loud, sudden shrieks. Here are the Pros and Cons - Pros - Equipment, movement, easy startup Cons - screams, overpriced scenery, missions
