Much better than the previously used texts at the local fire academy, and the skills sections make a good resource for in house drills.

This is the best handbook for fire departments to use in training new personnel. This text has more information than the IFSTA book and is much better written and edited. I also like the pictures this one has, especially the ones in the history section (mainly the one from Gettysburg). Go forth and purchase a hundred, no, a thousand copies for your department today!

This book is the best firefighting book I have seen around. It covers everything from the history of the fire service, the orginaztion all the way to how to prepare for a terrorism event. I really enjoy this book!

I found this book very useful. This is an excellent introduction in fire fighting and rescue. In my country (The Czech Republic) some drills, standard operation procedures and organization matters are different, but this publication is still very useful and inspiriting.

This book has to be, hands down best book to get if you want to know all about Firefighter I.
