Fireflies Moonlight And All That Jazz,
By
This review is from: Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz (Paperback)
Fireflies, Moonlight And All That Jazzby Tammy Whisman Rated 5 STARS Fireflies, Moonlight And All That Jazz is a book of love in verse. Not the poetry of rhyming verse, but poetry that flows off the tongue touching the heart and mind with its afterglow. There were four poems in this book that had rhyming phrase, and as the others, each poem spoke of the author's feelings and emotions. I found this book light and airy as its title, like fireflies dancing on the winds of a summer's day and the nights kissed in the moonlight. The author did well and has a book to be proud of. Thank you Tammy for a relaxing evening curled up with your book. Review by Nancy Lee Shrader IS IT NOW? The End of Days! The Curse of Mayweather House IS HE MESSIAH? Messianic Prophecies Revealed!

Emotions of The Heart,
By
This review is from: Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz (Paperback)
This collection of magical poetry describes beautifully, emotions of the heart under constant changing skies.Tammy's poetry is composed word by word like a melody. I found each poem to converse on a different level from reminiscing of love, to love itself, to expressions of affection within daily events, to settling at the close of day within oneself. This collection of poetry expanded my own personal growth as Tammy writes with honesty and language of true identity. It would be difficult to choose a favourite of this collection as each poem I totally enjoyed reading. Reviewed by Colleen Smtih/Entangled Within The Nature of Things/Ancient Mirrored Dreams

Beautifully Written,

This review is from: Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz (Paperback)
Tammy Lynn Whisman has expressed all feelings and emotions in her book of beautiful poetic verse called, Fireflies, Moonlight and all that Jazz. She writes in such a beautiful way that touches the desires of the human spirit as well as the life of nature. She has a very good connection to that which she wants to write about and it is evident in her rythmic verse. Very nice poetry and very well written. Her poem titled Without is one of my favorites Creation without inspiration; bland A song without melody; flat A bird without wings; grounded A heart without soul; hollow A fish without water; drowns A smile without spark; dull Words without meaning; babble Life without love; empty

Reviewed by Leslie Granier for Reader Views (5/07)"Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz" is a compilation of short poems written by Tammy Lynn Whisman. In this book, she uses vivid descriptions which allow the reader to share some of her deepest thoughts and experiences. She quickly captured my attention and many of her poems, especially those centered on events such as sunrises and changes of seasons, left me with reminders of the peace and beauty that exist in nature. Several of the other entries concentrated on passions - passion that exists in romantic relationships, as well as passion needed to help strive toward and achieve one's goals. I was impressed with how she can say so much with so few words. This book will appeal mainly to females, but males who have a sensitive side will enjoy it also. "Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz" is an excellent choice for anyone who has had a stressful day and needs to relax. The short length of each entry allows the reader to reflect on the poem's meaning without becoming lost in too many details. This would be good to read right before going to sleep or even while soaking in the bathtub. It will bring a sense of tranquility to assist in forgetting the stressors of the day. I liked the cover of the book but I thought the internal layout was a bit bland. A few well-placed illustrations would enhance the aesthetic quality without detracting from the written words. Also perhaps different fonts or print styles scattered throughout would add some much needed variety. Overall, "Fireflies, Moonlight and All That Jazz" is a truly inspirational book. Whisman shares her views on a variety of everyday subjects and leaves the reader feeling peaceful and calm. By baring her soul, she challenges the reader to search his or her heart to recollect past experiences that resulted in deep emotions -- whether painful or joyful. She helps the readers to recognize events that stir their feelings and awakens their hearts to the beauty and joy present all around them. By doing this, people will able to concentrate more on the positive aspects of life and realize their passions. Received book free of charge. |
