Great product! I own 5 of these and they have been going strong for a few months now on the included battery!

PROS:
-Really small and easy to press button
-Slightly longer range than the MUCH bigger Linear Multicode 3089 Compatible Visor Remote Opener
-Quite durable, the shell screws together so there are no small "battery covers" to lose
-Included key-chain swivels and is also quite durable
-Light to let you know it is sending a signal

CONS:
Battery is a 12V 'A23' ...semi-hard to find in stores! Sold here on Amazon.com Energizer A23 Battery, 12 Volt - 2 Pack

Responsible for the replacement of malfunctioning gate openers as a community manager.

I needed a solution for our community that provided something more practical for the pocket than bulky visor remotes which created its own set of problems when leaving the community in a visitors car or by foot / bicycle.

Keychain VS Visor Style
Our entire community was using the standard bulky 9 volt visor styles, often residents would leave in one of their visitors cars and forget to bring their gate remote (gate opens automatically for exit) which would create a problem getting back in. This new style placed one on their keychain eliminating that problem. The same situation would arise if they exited via bicycle or motorcycle, since our gate opens to exit automatically for those as well.

If a resident remembered to bring the common bulky visor style remotes when exiting the community by alternate methods than their own vehicle, this caused problems.
The common bulky 9 volt visor styles do not fair well when dropped. The tabbed covers would become damaged and the 9 volt battery dangling on two wires would break or would hit a "rocker style" dip switch and change the code on the fall or when trying to stuff the wires back into the compartment and replacing the cover.
I personally will not own or supply another gate opener that utilizes a 9 volt transistor battery plugged into the typical vinyl two post connector top and soldered directly to a P.C board, with no strain relief, or likely at all.

The Dip Switches
While very small, they stay programmed as these switches do not accidentally get reset as easily at the "rocker style" (teeter-totter if you will) They are set easily with a paper clip or ball point pen.

I can enter my parking garage using a key, or remotely using the garage door opener (I have a 3089 10-pin opener). Since entering is easier via the remote door, I was hoping to find a small remote that I could fit into my pocket so that I could keep the main opener in the car, and use the smaller one as a key.

I was a bit skeptical that this little device would work, but it works perfectly. You just open it up, program the pins, and it's good to go. I've only tested the range from ~ 2 car lengths (b/c that's all I need) but from that range it works flawlessly.

Oh, and kudos to North Shore Commercial Door for fast processing/shipping. Ordered it on Wed and received it on Sat.

This product is very nice. It's exactly what you're looking for assuming you're in the market for a small gate opener. Easy access to the 10-digit code and unlike other products it doesn't mess up the code when you put the cover back on. I bought 3 and all 3 work fine. Really good range too considering it only about 2x2x1.
No negatives that i have found in the last month.

Range is very poor. I have to be right up against garage door with car to get it to open. Maybe 10' unobstructed.

Easy to set up, works from a good enough distance for my situation. I bought a bunch of these and they all work fine - one on the keychain, one in the apartment to let people in, one on a spare set of keys. All work great.

Worked perfectly and gain about 25-40 foot range over my current control.
Dip switch coding made it simple and easy.

GARBAGE!!!!!!! I've ordered these before because of their size and ease of use and configuration. Nevertheless, its a complete crap shoot as to whether or not you actually receive a functioning device.
