Firefly is a fantastic series. My wife and I watched the DVD set from and found ourselves rationing the episodes towards the end, because we didn't want the series to be over. Great cast, great plots, great music. I really can't say enough about this series. I have never enjoyed a season of any show more than I enjoyed Firefly, and everyone I've introduced to it has loved it as well.

After watching one of these shows I was hooked. Unfortunately I discovered this after it was cancelled. Maybe bad advertising. How come I've never heard of such a fantastic show. Big mistake. I love the characters, music, special effects, plots. Everything was obviously done by a phenomenal team. Its like a great book with the last few pages missing. More Firefly please.

This show has something for everyone. Characters you will fall in love with by the end of the pilot, gunfights, swordfights, fistfights, shipfights, guys scarier than anything in latex, and the best fast-paced dialouge on this end of the 'verse. One of the cleverest TV shows out there (eat your heart out, LOST).

The cancellation of this short lived but highly acclaimed series is perhaps the biggest mistake made by a network. Ever.
Fox executives broadcast the series out of order, it was preempted several times for baseball...it didn't have a chance.

*The DVD box set of Firefly has been in the top 20 boxed sets in Amazon sales since its release in 2003. Not too shabby for a series that was limited to 14 episodes. Must be something to it, huh?

Give this series the chance it deserves. Download #1 Serenity and try it on for size. It's space westerny goodness all around.

Had Fox shown the first episode first, this show would be in its 7th or 8th season as we speak. I won't repeat the other reviews. But if you know Joss Whedon's work and haven't seen Firefly, see it. It's his best.

Why was this wonderful show cancelled? From the storylines to the characters, I was hooked the moment it aired. Then POOF! It was gone. What a shame that the execs didn't give this a great show a chance to catch its audience. Imagine what would happen to The X-Files if it began to air now. Can you say "bye bye" after the third episode? Nathan Fillion and the rest of the cast where perfect in their roles. Now the're all scatterd in other shows, but it seems so wrong. I love Serenity!

A true Science Fiction Western. Very good and all original, which explains why it was canceled. Good character definition. A must have.

this was a great show that was another one of the victims of FOX(it got moved around, aired eps in the wrong order, etc). It should've been given more time, but, it wasnt(however, there is a movie now....thanks to browncoats everywhere!).
If you like Joss Whedon, this show is for you. If you like scifi....this show is definately for you. It's kindof a scifi/western combo that I thought was pretty original(to my knowledge, no ones ever made a show like this).
Did I mention Joss Whedon wrote it?

Firefly is imaginative exiting and heartfelt. It is simply the best sci-fi... no scratch that, The best TV I've scene scince the X Files. The acting is very good, the stoyline is compeling and by the last episode I felt like I was part of the crew. I cant believe they pulled it before they even had a chance, does that remind you of anything?. So here we are stuck with law and order svcipu and the so called reality garb when we could be watching something truly original. What happened to TV that makes us think. Dont get me wrong but, Saving lives and putting away pervs is all good but, ITS ALL THE SAME! where is Capt Kirk, where is Moulder, where is River??? :( Science fiction does'nt mean out of this world, Firefly really hits home and holds a message for all of us right here in the 21st century. Watch the first episode and you'll be hooked, I was.

I'm not lying or exaggerating. This was one of the best TV series ever to grace the small screen. Great concept. Great cast. Great writing. Great everything. How could Joss Whedon do anything wrong? Damn that Fox for screwing it up and then canceling it. Go on. Buy it. You know you want to. It's the best, most shiny, thing in the 'verse!
