I purchased this blower to add it to a mid 90's Heat-n-Glo gas fireplace that never had a blower installed. The blower came very quickly from the seller and I installed it in 5 minutes. It is a little tricky to manuever the blower to where it needs to go, but not a fault of this blower.
The blower is quiet and works well. It does push some air and helps to distribute heat.

A friend of mine told me he recently installed a blower in his gas fireplace. Told me the model and where he found the info inside the sticker in his fireplace. Having never paid attention to it before, I located the model number of my unit rather quickly and searched a few sites. End of story, I bought this unit and it was shipped to me quickly. Arriving in an already put-together unit, the only thing I had to do was plug it into the correct outlet, test the switch - and of course, clean out the dust in my fireplace so it would not get blown out into the living room. I initially didn't know where to attach the crimped green ground wire, but eventually just found a piece of metal to wedge it in between. Shortly after, I tested it all together. I also ended up lowering the flame height on the fire because, well, heat is heat, and the blower does an amazing job at pushing it out. I really don't know why I didn't search for this several years ago; it was easy to install and will definitely help keep the common area warmer. Worth the money for me.

The hardest thing about these blowers was making sure I had the correct one for the fireplaces I have. I received it and had very little trouble installing it. Again, the manufacturer make the most problems. It works better than I could have imagined, to include all three blower settings. It was so good that I ordered another one because I have two fireplaces. Recommend that installation instructions from the manufacturer is downloaded before you order because the blower comes only with instructions on how to mount it and plug it in.

This blower was purchased to replace a 20-year old identical Regency Wood Stove blower motor. It is exactly the same motor and blower. However, you will need to retain some of the old motor wiring to cut & crimp. The new motor comes with just a crimped power cord and an attached ground wire. You will need to cannibalize the old wiring in order to use your existing power switch and thermal overload. A minor nuisance.
The new blower might also have to be rotated 90 degrees on the baseplate. In order to gain access to the bolts, you have to pinch and remove the cotter pin and then pull (hard) on the plastic blades to remove. Another minor nuisance. Make sure you have a magnetized socket screwdriver handy.
Altogether, it took my fat fingers about 30 minutes to install. The new blower is whisper quiet.

We built the old gas fireplace into our house ten years ago. We used it from time to time, but it did not seem to move the heat to where it can be used. I did some research and found that this was the proper fan. For the price, it has converted our gas fireplace into a third furnace. It puts off modest background sound, but negligible when compared to the benefits.

Single speed blower. Had to index the blower motor to fit existing stove frame. Spliced wiring and motor worked great. Still going three months later. Took about two hours to do job. Hardest part was removing the squirrel cages.

The blower worked after I changed the mounting brackets. Also I thought it would be a 2 speed blower but it has only one speed. So it works just not quite what I was hoping because of the single speed blower.

I purchased the fireplace blower to replace the one on my old Regency wood stove. The blower works great the only problem is I could not rotate the blowers to accommodate the cover.
