5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this Bible for your child or student!, May 19, 2005
This review is from: Fireside Catholic Youth Bible-Nab-Hand Size (Paperback)
This is a great bible for Catholic students! I use this in my Confirmation class and it works very well.

It has like 22 subject insets on everything from "Anger," "Faith," "guilt," "love," "money," to "peer pressure, "sex," & "temptation."

Plus it has a really handy Worship/Mass terms list in the back, along with Catholic prayers.

Then, for every subject there is a four page insert, the first page is the subject, the next page, is how it is related in the Bible, the next page in "roots of our faith" which ties it into the Catholic Church, then they have a "Saints Related" section that tells about a saint, and then the last page it has " 1 on 1 with Christ" which ties the subject in to Our Lord.

The bible also has listed A, B and C of Mass readings, how to pray the rosary, and a guide to the Mass.

The paper is think enough where you can highlight a verse and it doesn't soak through the other side!

I'm shocked that this bible is not more popular, it should be in every parish's CCD program!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice Bible for Confirmation, May 13, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Fireside Catholic Youth Bible-Nab-Hand Size (Paperback)
Our Confirmation Instructors all felt this was a nice looking bible that will catch the attention of our youth. I liked the tidiness of the format -- there are great full-color inserts that provide extra information of interest to youth but don't break up the actually readings themselves. This type of format is easier for some students to read and follow. We liked the "Catholic Basics" section in the back as well since it will be handy to reference in class when they have their bibles with. These comments might seem superficial to some but if it doesn't look approachable, some of our students won't even bother to pick it up to read. If they don't read it...what good is it?

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Book, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Fireside Catholic Youth Bible-Nab-Hand Size (Paperback)
This book is one that my daughter needed to have as a requirement for religion class, but one that she will keep for years to come. It is really well written, and on a teenage level, not as if someone "old" wrote it for them. There are many helpful items contained inside from peer pressure to religious beliefs that will benefit her throughout her teen years.
