The gameplay is action-focused. A player is to carry out tasks on levels overcrowded with dangerous monsters, by using personal skills, over 20 types of weapons and unique artifacts. The victory conditions vary from a need to survive within a given time to eliminating a certain monster/device.
At the beginning of the game, players will have five characters to choose from - soldier, agent, gangster and two more, each with a unique set of characteristics and skills. While advancing through the game, players will get scores (for example, for monsters killed), and he can spend those on improving the hero's characteristics and skills. Players will be opposed by up to 20 types of monsters out of three worlds - technical, demonic and symbiotic. Monsters differ in characteristics, types of attack, behavior and ability to act in a group.
The game was developed on an original high-tech engine, The Firestarter Engine, which uses the possibilities of the latest accelerator generation GeForce 3, 4. Among the engine possibilities are: work with outdoor and indoor areas, colored dynamic lighting, dynamic shadows, vertex and pixel shaders, T&L, procedure textures, various classes of particle system-based effects, interactive and destructible level objects, realistic physics, high-polygonal character and monster models (up to 5000 of polygons), and skeleton animation.
The game can be played by up to 32 players over LAN simultaneously. In a multiplayer game, there will be both classical modes of play, such as Deathmatch and cooperative, and unique ones - play for monsters, team-play modes with a possibility of monster control.

Caught wind of this game a few years back from a demo disc, popped it in and loved it.
Never thought id see it at a retail store till one day going thru the bargain bin and picked it up for $10 bucks. Installed on a Windows Xp Op system computer with no problems, which is nice since alot of older games wont load or crash when you play. Gameplay is very good in my opinion it definatly provides a challenge at times with running and gunning and collecting artifacts to move on. Music is also very good with the game. The soundtrack adds the feel of being in a futuristic setting and really gets you going for battle. Im not much of a techno/trance electronic music kind of guy but i got into the data files and burned a CD of the music from the game and occasionally rock out to it in the car. Overall this is a great run and gun game for a bargain game which is hard to come by these days even though its a bit dated it still kicks some arse. Would love to see this game updated to newer systems cause i think it would have great potential to become the next great on line shooter. Definatly pick this one up if your considering it!

fast and furious arena type of combat, huge overkill type of weapons, with good flashy graphics pretty much sums it up for this FPS. kill waves of monsters that unlocks a new weapon/areas in the arena, and then randomly collect pink crystals "artifacts" in a certain time limit. these origional ideas sound good on paper but aren't executed well enough to make a solid game out of it.
