Cool, but no Cigar....,

These definitely look kewl, but the acrylic is too soft, so the sticks flex as you strike. This provides an unpleasant "mushy" experience. Gripping them closer to the tip ameliorates the problem somewhat, but changes the dynamics.
These are fun to show your friends, but not really ready for primetime.

Great novelty item. Not meant for serious drumming, but fun to play around with.

These sticks are incredible, they are very durable, work very well and are well designed. I thought they might look "corny" but if used correctly, they are a tastefully done effect. When you hit the drum, it lights up Blue, then slowly fades over time. With constant hits, it will continuously light up blue on each hit, but remain lit between hits. I am very impressed, I will be using these in shows in the near future.

Flexible sticks perfect for those with wrist injries,

I've used these before and while others think they are not real sticks they are dead wrong. I started to use acrylic sticks many years ago when I started to have Carpel tunnel syndrome and they did the charm. I've since then had my surgery and use these sticks still as they give more then wooden ones plus they are a lot easier for doing rolls with. I'll never go back to wooden ones ever again.

Got these for my 5 year old niece for Christmas, she loved them. Played with them more than her 'girly' presents. My fiancee's son (a drummer) tried them and says they don't sound very good for actual drumming - he prefers wood. But he thought they'd be cool as a gimmick for a few songs during a gig. A good present for the would-be drummers you know.

A toy for kids 15 and under.,

Well my wife bought these for me for Xmas... At first I thought they were real drum sticks. They are NOT! They are the shape of sticks but, as others have put it they flex, vibrate really, really bad, you cannot just turn them on and off. But..... the worst is the sound. Cymbals sound awful and there is no noise from drum hits themselves. Great for kids to mess with in the dark. I don't really know what to do with them, give them to a kid I suppose. I do play tomorrow night for a New Years party. We do a slow song I think I will use them on it and maybe throw them into the crowd?I think the manufacturer should say, toy sticks or something.... Mike

These drumsticks are fun to play with...especially when the lights are low. Each time you strike them, they light up and they will light up more if you strike the drums hard. My 12 year old is really having fun with them.
They have a larger circumference than a wooden drumstick and are heavier, too. I would not use them as a substitute for wooden drumsticks, but they are a nice addition to add fun to your child's practice sessions or live performance!

I bought 2 pairs of these - one as a gift and one for my son, and they both loved them. They look really cool.

I bought these to play with the drums on guitar hero. My 8 year old daughter absolutely loves them! They work every time they are tapped against the drums. They light up a very pretty blue that slowly fades away. The tips are made of a soft rubber material which is nice. They are very well constructed. They are a big hit with all of the neighborhood kids. They all love to come over and play the drums so they can use the light up drumsticks. I love these and I would definitely recommend them for any game system.
