5.0 out of 5 stars BEST illumintated drum sticks PERIOD.
These are so sturdy and able to withstand my abuse! I beat the crap out of my rock band and it is great, they stay lighted and also have NEVER even blinked while playing... The stick has basically 1 piece and then a cap on the bottom of the stick, not in the middle of the stick to break when you strike the drum. Get these and you'll be very satisfied, trust me!

2.0 out of 5 stars disappointed
The batteries that came with it were dead. One stick did not light up at all, and the other was very, very dim. I ordered it for a holiday gift and expected them to be ready right out of the box. The exterior packaging does not give you the size of replacement batteries needed.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fragile!!, March 18, 2010

I am very disappointed in these drumsticks. I bought them to use on a bongo style drum for one part of one song during my band's set. It's a gentle part, no hard hitting at all, and the light up sticks were to be a neat effect with the stage lights dimmed. The bottom of one stick flew off after 2 taps and stopped working, and the other one didn't light up at all, it just glowed a little at the bulb. I can't fix the broken one, the plastic is snapped. I guess these drumsticks are not actually supposed to hit anything!! Strange of me to think that I could use them on a drum, isn't it? Well, I guess I must have misinterpreted the description that tells you that they are durable and great on stage. I thought that meant you could use them more than 2 taps!! Apparently "durable" means 1 tap, not 2!! Man I'm an idiot for not understanding that one!! A total rip off!! I should have just stuck with my little daughter's drumstick that she got from Disney World. I've used that several times with no problem at all, but bought this one so I wouldn't ruin hers!

5.0 out of 5 stars The perfect drumstick, January 2, 2012

The drumsticks are very hard plastic, so it seems like they would be tough to break. I drummed with them on the wall and they were stood on by accident and they did not break and they still work perfect. One drumstick does not seem to light up as much, but still looks pretty cool when used in the dark. I can tell the difference, but my son cannot. It might just be that they lit up while being shipped, too. Havent tried to change the batteries, but looks simple enough. If you want to drum in the dark for your friends, these would be perfect!!!

The end caps holding the batteries fell off during the first actual use of these sticks (on stage). Not good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Review for Firestix Light Up Drumsticks, March 10, 2011

This is my second order of Firestix Light Up Drumsticks. My first order worked very well. They light up when ever you hit something. At night it looks really cool. But, my rough friend got to "into the game" and one of them ended up snapping in half. I think this could have been avoided if he we have settled down. The spring reaction when you hit the drumpad is major and helps you when you have to hit the yellow notes fast and continuously. There very light, so you can get around that drumset very easily.

All in all I really enjoy these drumsticks. Hopefully my second pare will last a little longer, just have to treat them with respect.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun idea but not too practical, March 14, 2010
By
This review is from: Firestix Light up Drumsticks Red
These drumsticks were really fun for the kids to use playing Rock Band, but they are very loud on the drum pads and the tips come flying off all the time. For the price, they're fun, but not at all practical.
