4.0 out of 5 stars Glad I own a copy
Yes, it is one of the goofiest pieces of, um, processed food that ever came out of Hollywood - but it's bad with such good humor! As though everyone said "You want me to do WHAT? Well, heck - why not?" One thing I'll insist upon - the relationships between Norris's character and Gossett's character is a dandy - and the one between Norris's character and...

FIREWALKER is not the most memorable action adventure film out there but succeeds by not taking itself too seriously. The chemistry between Chuck Norris, Lou Gossett Jr., and Melody Anderson keeps the film from sinking from its predictable plot, cheap sets, generic action sequences and cardboard baddies (i.e. Sonny Landham -PREDATOR, 48 HRS- as "El Coyote"). The...

Yes, it is one of the goofiest pieces of, um, processed food that ever came out of Hollywood - but it's bad with such good humor! As though everyone said "You want me to do WHAT? Well, heck - why not?" One thing I'll insist upon - the relationships between Norris's character and Gossett's character is a dandy - and the one between Norris's character and Anderson's - Anderson's character is a Jim Peach. "FRUITCAKE?" shouts Anderson, after bursting into Norris's and Gossett's hotel room. "Are the walls that thin?" waffles Norris. "No, your mouth is that big!" comes her retort. And John Rhys-Davies as the adventurer who has taken over the Central-American rebel army - wonderfully crazed! Forget about the Academy, this is just plain fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars great movie, October 24, 2010

Great movie! Lots of fun. No bad words. Not a horror movie. Not a martial arts movie. More of a comical Indy movie. Not much of a body count.

A Great movie for just plain simple relaxation.

Would I watch it again? Yes, I've watched it about 5 times by myself just for my relaxation. Good movies are few; great ones even fewer.

I love this movie because it has so many of the elements that appeal to me. The heroine is a strong woman, who is looking for some ancient ruins. There is humor and friendship among all the characters. Chuck Norris plays an appealing role, and of course there is a happy ending.

This movie was worth buying. It has comedy and action which kept me interested and my family also. Thank you for making it available. They're in trouble in the beginning and then again when the two men get involved with a crazy women searching for lost treasure.

"Firewalker" will not be inducted into any cinematic great lists any time soon, but it is an enjoyable movie. The reason I called it corny was because this flick is filled with plastic looking interior caves, awkward gun fight scenes, actors running into scenes on obvious cues and goofy one liners (which I find amusing by the way). Still, this movie always makes me feel good. I enjoy its light hearted nature. The three stars,(Chuck Norris, Melody Anderson and Lou Gosset), all have a nice rapport with one another. Their relationships certainly come off as genuine, not forced or contrived. If you have an affinity for a silly adventure story with likable actors, "Firewalker" is a movie for you!

This movie is along the lines of the Indiana Jones movies. If you like the Indiana Jones movies, you'll like this one too. It came to me quickly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Firewalker, July 3, 2009

This is one of the best movies Chuck Norris has ever been in. I love this movie and was extremely happy to be able to find it.
This movie is great for children and thats very hard to find now. The language is not bad and it isn't scary like most movies are now days.
I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes action movies with comedy and like Chuck Norris and Lou Gossett, Jr. I just can't say enough about this movie.
Buy it. I don't know anyone who could possibly be disappointed in it.

This review is from: Firewalker (DVD)
Chuck Norris and Louis Gosset are great in this film. chuck and Louis play old friends who love to find treasure. Max (Norris) and Leo (Gosset)are at a bar thinking about calling it quits on treasure hunting anymore when this woman (Melody Anderson)walks into the bar looking for two men who are not scared of anything and love a challenge. so this woman is pointed to Max and Leo and she tells them about a map that will lead to treasure and it is dangerous. so they go and the aventure starts. the come backs between the three is funny. enjoy.
