If you need a reason to understand why Katy Perry is such a big pop star, listen to this track. Her bubbly, uplifting delivery may not bring to mind the vocal ability of an opera-trained soprano, but it sparkles nonetheless. The lyrics are so uplifting and positive, that it's hard not to get a little more pep in your step when you listen.
"Firework" is pop music at its finest- ear candy with a feel-good message that actually has a bit of meaning slipped in beneath the surface. The song feels real, not part of a manufactured image. Wonderful!
