Being a Buffalo Tom fan, I've grown to enjoy Bill Janovitz's voice to the point that I'm searching to own everything he puts out. I held off on "Lonesome Billy" due to reviews (more accurately because I was looking for more upbeat, full band stuff), so I instead downloaded the MP3 album of "Up Here", which was a solid 3 1/2 of 5 stars.
"Fireworks on TV" simply had to be bought, then, and I was tremendously impressed. I would go so far to say that this cd is more cohesive, more fun and more flawless than any Buffalo Tom disc, and probably the best overall cd I've heard in 2007 (the disc is from 2004).
Great songwriting, great instrumentation, great production, simply great! I've been waiting for YEARS for a cd that's a joy start to finish, and I've found it.
I won't claim a favorite song, because they're all excellent. (Which is insanely odd coming from me, as I'm notoriously critical! - I used to write songs.) OK - the title song goes on a minute or so too long - gets repetitive without adding something new - but still, that ain't nothing!
A Wonderful CD, I would recommend to anyone who likes Buffalo Tom or straight-ahead modern rock with memorable hooks, delivered by a raspy ol' alt-figurehead. I WILL be buying whatever next they deliver!

I have not heard an album this great in years. Bill and Crown compliment each other very well. The music sounds very much like Buffalo Tom and that is OK by me. Excellent work! I cannot stop listening to it 'till I can recite every lyric.

As a huge Buffalo Tom fan, I'm embarrassed to admit that this CD flew under my radar. I just "discovered" it a few weeks ago. Better late than never, I guess. It's been playing in my car non-stop ever since. Definitely has the Buffalo Tom sound but with a little more of an americana feel. As another reviewer said, I'll be listening to it until I can sing along to every word. It's just an awesome, awesome CD.

This is a really incredible album. It's 15 songs long and they are all great. I am a Buffalo Tom fan but didn't know that Bill Janovitz had another project. This is a perfect record in my opinion. I can't overstate how much I recommend it.

This is one of my favourite albums of all time, anyone that likes let me come over will love it. Some instant classics and everyone I play it too falls in love with it and asks who it is. This is the first review I've ever done on amazon and I've only done it because this does not get recognition it deserves.
