This DVD of firework displays is excellent for a number of applications and celebrations where real fireworks are not feasible. I plan to project these during my family's U.S. Independence Day celebration this year. This is exactly what I was looking for: a display featuring the fireworks themselves alone -- no music, no crowds are seen, no humans, no voices, no commentary -- all which greatly increase the DVD's usefulness and applicability. You can play your own preferred music from a separate system so that the presentation is not limited to just one mood or application.

The DVD also features several options for playing the shows as loops or as linked sequences. Another nice feature is that when the New Year, London, and Countdown shows are played, the intro (whether it be a visual countdown or the sounding of Big Ben) plays only once so as not to disrupt the flow upon repeat -- very thoughtful programming!

You may notice some repeated sequences in the shows, but so far, that's not been a hindrance to my enjoying the presentation. And even though there is one show titled "Special FX", special effects are employed in some of the other presentations. However, these are applied tastefully; mostly as slow-motion or step/stop-motion effects.

Highly recommended! If only other companies selling ambient materials were as interested in putting forth such quality products!

This is a good DVD because there isn't any talking, just fireworks with sound. It gives you choices for different fireworks shows and lets you choose to watch it once or loop it for continuous play. It also has a New Years Eve countdown on the screen with fireworks. I am a mobile video DJ and use this on the 4th of July and on New Years Eve. The menu is quick, easy and very user friendly. It does repeat a few things and I think it zooms in too much. I would prefer it to stay out to catch a lot of the fireworks. Overall it's perfect for what I needed it for. A+

I used this DVD on July 4th at the nursing home my mom resides at. So many of the people cannot get out for the traditional fireworks display and the facility has a great set-up for viewing DVDs. The visual and audio displays of this DVD made you feel that you were watching the real thing as it was happening and made for a very enjoyable time for the residents who viewed it. It gave them an opportunity to participate in the July 4th celebration like they used to.
