5.0 out of 5 stars FIVE STARS FOR THIS WORKOUT! 2 for audio
FIRM videos are the best! The cross trainers Super Sculpt and Super Cardio are my FAVORITE Firm videos! My old favorite used to be Body Sculpting Basics but these two are great!
I didn't want to give the workout a less than five star review because I love it, but I didn't want to scare off buyers because of the star rating.
I agree with the poor audio...

1.0 out of 5 stars very bad video quality
The work out is great but the quality of the video is so bad I don't want to put it back in my new vcr.

Goodtimes entertainment, who is now making the firm videos sure knows how to cut corners to save a buck. It's a real shame, because the Firm is really the best workout on the market.

I agree with the poor audio quality. It sounds like it is not in stereo, like the audio is very flat. There is no bass, and it does sound like they didn't make these tapes in stereo quality like most movies.
I WISH the audio was better, I LOVE LOVE these tapes! The music is fabulous and the routines are better than most FIRMS.
Jennifer Carman is fabulous in this video. I like her beginning segments, she begins right away with sitting arm work, including tough bicep work! Nancy Tucker and her dips and curtsy dips really works me!
A+ workout
D- sound quality

5.0 out of 5 stars Maybe you need a new VCR, April 10, 2002

I don't understand the poor quality remarks I read, my version seems fine! Either way, this video is a great workout. I have a lot of the firm videos and I was happy to find one that focused completely on weight lifting and scultping.

If you read fitness magazines and see all the moves they teach to sculpt and tone your body, but hate trying to read all the directions and tearing out pages... this is the perfect video. Everything I see in the magazines is in this video, and it's coached well to motivate you. Don't give up on it, it's tough and will take even the most fit person a few trys before you aren't totally sore the next morning.

5.0 out of 5 stars Effective Body Sculpting - I Love It, July 9, 2003
This review is from: The Firm - Cross Trainers: Super Sculpting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I've been a Firm beliver for the past ten years and this is one of my favorite Firm videos. What I love about this video is that the routines are exceptionally effective and innovative. The lower body segment is very challenging. I didn't realize there were such movements as criss cross and curtsy lunges, until I used this video. After I completed the workout, my legs were sore but they felt good. I saw muscle definition in my legs the next day. I was very pleased with the results. I had broken my right femur 14 years ago and I could never work that right thigh muscle properly. Also the upper body segment is nothing to sneeze at either. Performing frontal arm raises and butterflies are challenging enough while standing. Just try doing them while bending over the fanny lifter. You'll discover muscles you thought you never had. Trust me, you will definitely feel the burn and develop lovely muscle definition and strength in you upper arms. Your reward is that you'll feel better and look great in the latest fashions. Overall, I give this video an A +++. You'll love it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another good workout from The Firm...., March 6, 2005

This review is from: The Firm - Cross Trainers: Super Sculpting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is one of the tougher firms in my opinion. It is about 50 minutes long, with 4 different instructors leading the upper and lower body segments. The warmup and first 10 minutes are led by Jen Carman, you work the upper body with double arm bent rows, bicep and hammer curls, upright rows, pushups, rear delt raises, french presses etc. A barbell is used in this and all the sections, but dumbells can easily be used if you don't have a barbell or don't like using it. Then Nancy Tucker comes in for 10 minutes of lower body work including plies, glute squeezes, lunges and dips, squats and leg presses. Then the lower body gets a rest and you go back to upper body for 10 more minutes with Dale Brabham. She starts you off with some tough shoulder work including upright rows with military presses followed by front and side delt raises, then you repeat with a second set of uprights/militaries and front/side delt raises. Then you go on to dead lifts (Good Mornings), bent over rows, rear delt raises, tricep dips, pushups, one arm rows and more biceps. Then Carissa Foster comes in with 10 more minutes of lower body work, starting off with dips, then squats, lunges, more squats, and some standing abductor/adductor work. She also leads the short ab section and stretch.

This is a very thorough workout, all the muscle groups are hit multiple times and adequately. The ab section is a bit short which might bother some, but I didn't really mind it as I am usually spent at the end of this workout. Those looking for a challenge will like this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars THIS IS A DAMN GOOD WORKOUT....PERIOD...., April 27, 2004
This review is from: The Firm - Cross Trainers: Super Sculpting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This workout is NO JOKE. Starts with a warm up and goes quickly through the routines of the four instructors. Ends with abdominal work and the cool down/stretch. At the end of the work out you have gotten everything you need for a full body workout, with tons of sweat to prove it. As you gain strength, increase the weights to maintain your own personal edge.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome Workout!, June 14, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Firm - Cross Trainers: Super Sculpting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
I have several Firm videos and this is one of the best! It's really tough and thoroughly works out all the major muscles. It's fast paced and sometimes hard to keep up with it - had to hit the pause button a couple of times. My only complaint is that the ab section is only a couple of minutes long and didn't seem long enough, compared to all the time spent on lunges, squats, etc. But overall, I do think this is one of the best Firm workouts I've done so far. Maximum Body Shaping and Firm Strength are also awesome. By the way, I didn't notice any problems with the sound on my copy.

The quaility of the video is not very good. My older vcr did not handle it very well. We have a new vcr and the video seems to be much better. I like the workout warm up 4 min. Weight training 39.0, abdonminal 3.0, cool down 3.0, total time 49.0. A challanging workout with barbell ,step stools and weights. The video quality could use some help.

I agree with the previous review - the video quality on this tape is truly appalling. It'a a pity goodtimes have decided against giving customers what they are paying for. As a workout, it's pretty good but because of the quality of recording, I've only played it once.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my favorite FIRM videos, June 3, 2003

This review is from: The Firm - Cross Trainers: Super Sculpting [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This is one of my favorites! It's demanding even for the most experienced FIRM addict. At first, the audio/video was fine on my copy, but after several viewings it deteriorated rapidly. I'm ordering another one anyway! THE FIRM definitely works!
