Available from these sellers.

Book Description

April 1996
This second book about the foundation method by Hall and Haywood provides larger-sized traditional block patterns that are not usually seen for foundation piecing. Quilters of all levels will discover more accurate piecing techniques that will expand their repertoire. The book is complete with a listing of books, patterns, and foundations supplies for quilters to consult while adapting this technique to their own uses. Also included is a color gallery filled with stunning photos of quilts and blocks made with this innovative technique. AUTHORBIO: A resident of Raleigh, North Carolina, Jane has been a quiltmaker for more than 20 years. She teaches, lectures, and judges quilts across the country. She likes to work with traditional patterns, using innovative colorations to create new graphics. Log Cabin designs are among her favorites. AUTHORBIO: Dixie Haywood resides in Pensacola, Florida. She has been quilting for more than 40 years. Dixie also teaches and judges throughout the country and has authored over 150 articles and five books (three with Jane Hall). REVIEW: Planet Patchwork Quilting Bookbriefs says this book "contains a well-done primer in foundation techniques, and dozens of creative border designs, both traditional and contemporary. Perhaps most important, the authors provide a series of questions to ponder as you decide what kind of border you want."
