She has been quilting for more than 40 years. Dixie also teaches and judges throughout the country and has authored over 150 articles and five books (three with Jane Hall). She has a particular interest in foundation work, exploring methods for using foundation techniques in all kinds of piecing, both traditional and innovative. Jane has co-authored six books on foundation piecing with Dixie Haywood including their new one, "Every quilter's Foundation Piecing Tool" (C&T 2009).
