The only thing positive about the purchase of this guitar is that it was done 2 weeks prior to Christmas or I would have had a terribly upset son on Christmas morning! My father has played guitar for 52 years and luckily I had his help with this guitar. The first one we bought he just couldn't tune. He would tune it to D and E and A would be out. Then he would tune to A and D and E were out, and so on and so forth. The First Act company was great on the phone and told me that I had a faulty guitar. I had the option of sending it to them or bringing it back to Toys R Us. I opted to go back to the store and grab another one. Same problem with this guitar. Seems like the neck is not level causing strings to touch the frets that they aren't supposed to touch, we cant get it tuned and truly has a "tinny" sound that is really bad. I am not expecting to use this at a rock concert or anything, but for as cool as it looks and having 3 pick ups on it, it is just really bad quality. We are heading out tomorrow to again return, and begin our hunt for another brand! I have never written a bad review on anything before, but since this had no other reviews, I am hoping to help others avoid the issues we have had.

This was for my son but I'm finding that I play it instead. To the last reviewer, the string will need a disproportionate amount of tuning since they are new. As the string gets broken in the tuning should be more consistent.

This a lot of fun...

Bought mine several years ago at Walmart. Still don't really know how to play it. However, a friend of mine who is an excellent guitarist came over, tuned it, and then jammed pretty good on it. He said it was "not a bad guitar". Starting to play it more now that I got an effects pedal.

It is great for first time learners. It does not have the best sound but what do you expect? It's cheep.
