This is a good economy stand, not too sturdy but with care it will provide for years of good use. good for the price, I use it at home so don't need to spend more on something more expensive and fancy.

I bought this for my daughter, a beginning flute player. She says she likes it better than the stands at school. It folds down to an easily storable size, and when fully assembled, it can adjust and pivot at several joints. It's not too heavy for her to comfortably move around, but it has enough weight that I'm not worried it's going to tip over when she puts her music book on it.

This item is good for regular usage. I used it for my flute and keyboard practice. The books I use are not heavy - probably 10-20 pages. I think it can sustain 30-40 pages.

If you have a heavy music book, this stand might not hold it. However, for most chord books and music pieces, it does the job.

I expected this stand to be a bit more sturdy... adjusting the height and angle of the stand takes quite a while. Reasonable for the price.

...a cheap music stand, so it gets three stars instead of one. It is not made for packing around or heavy use. You have to be careful not to open it too far. It will not hold up to use by different people that have to adjust it often to their needs.

We have had this stand for almost a year and a half now. It has lasted through kids hanging on it and knocking it over and putting heavy books on it. I love the fact it has things that hold your pages open. Its an amazing stand for its price.

Bought for my beginning music child and it's almost made it through the first year of band. Excellent for holding sheet music. Music books would be too large and heavy though.

the stand was flimsy, but more importantly a wing nut was missing and the stand would not stay up. this was a gift and i was very unhappy

This music stand is flimsy and wobbly, fragile and difficult to adjust. But it does the job, and it's cheap, too. If you need a portable stand to hold some music, hey, it ain't bad. If you need something more fancy, look elsewhere.
