Today I tried resuscitating a 5 month old baby. He died later in the pediatric ER. I have a 3 month old, it hit me pretty hard. Parents...please know what to do if your baby aspirates on his own vomit...know how to clear his airway and provide artificial ventilations and chest compressions. Doing this will help tremendousely until we can get there.

Thanks.

This is a very good resource book for parents. It includes photographs rather than drawings, making it easier to understand the procedures being described. I think this helps parents who may have limited reading skills or for whom English is not their first language. This would be a great book to give as a baby shower gift.

I gave this book to my daughter and son-in-law. They like it and hope never to have to use it. It has great illustrations, and the directions are very simple to follow. It is pretty thorough in what it covers.

I saw this while looking for another CPR book and thought I get it as well. We have seven grand kids so there are always little ones around here. My wife has read through it and says it has a lot of good reference information.

I just wish it was a little more current. It's the 2008 version, so doesn't include a few new laws regarding car seats and a couple of other updates. But, overall it's well worth the money.

Fortunately I have not had to use it so far. The illustrations are very clear. The book covers most major emergencies and provides very concrete information.

I have bought this First Aid book for Hope House, a project for new moms with new babies.
Hope House houses new moms for 90-120 days but the moms have to take classes and learn
life skills for themselves & their baby. This book is very helpful in teaching basic skills to keep
everyone healthy.
