5.0 out of 5 stars Best Stuff
This burn gel is excellent. Better than the usual green stuff for sunburns. Despite its strong smell, it relieves burns better than anything else I've tried. Highly recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Soothing but not long lasting
I was not overly impressed with this product. It does provide initial burn relief but perhaps for less than a half hour, for a first degree burn. Based on other glowing reviews I have read, I would have expected more from this. It is like a mild lidocaine is the best comparison I can draw.

Every first aid kit, be it for home, work, or for your automobile should have some of these packets. It doesn't have to be a fire burn to qualify, a sun burn or skinned knee type burn can be cleaned, protected, and made to feel so much better.

I had a nasty burn from a fry pan and it really helped. Wish you could find it in stores.

update 9-22-2011
Was working with a hot glue gun and high temp plastics. So the gun was on high. I had applied the glue and the project slipped. You can guess I grabbed it right at the glue point. Got on my left hand center finger on the side and tip including the fingernail. Burned like a son of a gun. I dropped the project and tried to get the glue to stick to my pants and pull it off as it was still hot. Only got it on my right hand on the bottom of a finger. I ran to the sink and put cold water on it and pulled off the glue. It was so bad I expected to pull off some skin. Got lucky I guess. Really hurt so I got my trusty burn gel and applied it to both fingers and did the "mommy it hurts" dance. In about 60 seconds most of the pain was gone. I'll have one hell of a deep blister including the fingernail it looks like but man was I glad I had this stuff. Maybe next time I'll do the smart thing and wear Kevlar gloves. Never had a blister under a fingernail. Weird.
I think I'll go take a break and go to work on my homemade reactor. If you see a strange glow in Dallas Texas don't worry it's just me. LOL.

Oh another trick that both extends the shelf life and helps with burns. Put one in the refrigerator. Not the freezer. Hope this helps
