The book arrives in good condition-- no marks. I used it for a short course in First Aid/CPR, got the course done, and recycled it to local book store. It's OK as a textbook(I had no choice as this was the appointed textbook), but not a handy reference guide that you'd like to keep for the real challenge of life ( this perception might come from the class instruction, there're so many item lists to drill!)
If you're looking at this book for personal interest, I would strongly recommend you just borrow one from library and read --unfortunately most textbooks are updated so fast that you pretty much always find the library version ousted.

This book is great for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of first aid. It is well written and clear. I advise anyone and eveyone to keep it on the shelf for easy access in case of emergencies. Clear, concise illustrations add t the clarity of the instructions.

Used for a college class; would be good for any layperson to learn First Aid.

This was an extremely helpful book for my CPR & First-Aid certification class. I got it for a good price and it was in excellent condition. I think I received it in about a week.

Everything I needed arrived in very good time. This was the exact book I needed and it was in perfect condition. Extremely happy.

The book is mind numbingly pedantic. The book comes in just shy of 500 pages but it could have easily been half as long. My biggest challenge was reading the chaff fast enough to get to the new material before falling asleep. Of course, this is a required text for many first aid courses. But hey, it got you your CPR card, right? Now go save somebody!

I am using this book for my class and it is very easy to read and the instructions are very clear. I would recommend this book to anyone in a class like this or who just want to know what to do in a emergency. So far, it is worth the low cost and it was shipped to me very quickly!
