4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD., September 16, 2009
This review is from: First Album: The Wonder Years (Audio CD)
I enjoyed listening to this CD. It's fun and easy listening; enjoyable. I was a bit surprised by the presence of English in the music. I wasn't expecting much after listening to Tell Me, but it's not so much that it takes away from the Korean. The CD definitely has a young factor to its music, but it does not lack songs that reflect the great voices of the singers. Over all, I would say it reflects pop with a little of techno/dance influence in it. Song list:

1. I Wanna

2. [Track 2]*

3. Tell Me.

4. Friend

5. Headache

6. [Track 6]*

7. Wishing on a star

8. Move

9. [Track 9]*

10. Good Bye

11. Bad Boy

12. [Track 12]*

13. Irony.

*songs had titles in Korean, so I couldn't translate them. My favorite songs are Tell Me - very fun and great to listen with a fantastic upbeat and rhythm; I Wanna - good beat, techno influence and is a great reflection of their skills. Headache, with a pop feel and a little bit of late 90s influence. Irony - great beat, highly enjoyable track.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bring back the old school techno beats, November 30, 2011
This review is from: First Album: The Wonder Years (Audio CD)
JYP was a RnB star in Korea and his music was always compared to Michael Jackson's. He even admit that his music is deeply rooted from the late MJ. He has dug RnB as no others did in Korean music scenes during his time.

Now, as a producer, his creativity in re-interpreting the old times into the new generation music lovers. And this was a big hit. I dare to predict him grow as big as Quincy Jones in 80-90s.

Debuted in September 2007, Tell me, and Irony's catchy sounds, along with the choreography were all his creation and he should get 100% credit for Wonder Girls' name today. Yes, the timing was right, and he surely worked hard.

The songs are not as consistent as the second album just out now in nov 2011, but this album definitely brought the big attention to JYP production and the distinctive and surpassing potentials of this girl group, and their journey began.

The tracks in English;

1. I Wanna

2. ' ''(E-babo, You Fool)

3. Tell Me

4. Friend

5. Headache

6. ' '' (Mo ote, So What)

7. Wishing on a star

8. Move

9. '' '(Gajo ga, take it away)

10. Good Bye

11. Bad Boy

12. ''' ''(Mianhan Maum, Sorry feeling)

13. Irony
