I sent the test and a check for $60 to the lab. I never got my results or any response at all from them. My cheque was cashed though. Total waste of money, as you can imagine. I would give this product no stars, if it were possible.

DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

After I read the reviews, i decided to purchase the kit. Now i am having the same probles as other reviewers had. They cashed my check, and I am still waiting for the results a month after the check cleared. Do not buy this kit.

This test kit was very easy to use. This is a good test kit to buy if you have visible mold growing and you want to know what type it is. If you want to know if there are hidden mold sources that are in the air, this is not the test kit to use. I gave this product four stars because I am not able to detect mold growing in unseen places, such as heating ducts.

Not what I expected. You have to send the samples off and pay $10 each to get any results. What a disappointment after paying $17 for the kit.

This product is a rip off. You have to pay an additional fee for testing processing. Don't waste your money.

I wish I'd seen the reviews here on Amazon before buying this.

HERE'S WHAT YOU GET: all this kit consists of is adhesive tape and a return envelope. That's all. The list price is $20 for some tape and an envelope--you have to then pay for anything you wish tested. To add insult to injury (or, perhaps, injury to insult), it's not even a postpaid envelope.

What's more, since all it is is adhesive tape, you have to press it against a visible sample of mold growth (the alternative, they note, is to cut out a sample of carpet, wood, or tile and mail that instead).

So, basically, in order to TEST for mold, you have to SEE there's mold. You're testing for mold you can already see. What if you have mold within your walls or other hidden area and you want to know what you're breathing in? I'd foolishly presumed that this kit was akin to others I'd seen, that contain a growth medium. You place it out for a few days, cap it, then mail it in, and they check to see what airborne molds have grown.
