I've used this test several times over the past year and have found it to be accurate. On a couple of occasions my son initially denied using the drug that showed positive. However, in every case, he eventually voluntarily confessed. If he hadn't, I might have thought the test was faulty.

I should add that my son tested positive for about 1/3 of the drugs in the test. Too bad it doesn't test for LSD, or he would have tested positive for that, too.

Eventually, he started hiding bottles of good urine (urine that will pass a drug test) around the house and in his pants so that he could fool the test. A word to the wise...

Today, he is on the Dean's list in physics at a major university. So, keep testing parents. Don't give up.

The First Check kit is a first-rate diagnostic: easy and rapid to use and the results are extremely easy to read. The output is a competition assay (I won't bore you with details)which make the results very precise.
My only concern was that someone I tested is taking an SSRI and his/her urine came up positive for tricyclic antidepressants.

My son used the kid and it worked but I thought it was too expensive. I do think I could have gotten a test cheaper

I like this single use test because it tests for 12 different drug families. It's great because you don't have to try to figure out what your "teen" has taken before buying the test. It is easy to use and results are displayed in minutes in an extremely easy to decipher display. If you are unsure of the results you can send it in for lab testing. It comes with a box and a code to mail it in. Yes this one costs a bit more but I'm able to sleep better at night.

I bought this test when I had a dispute with my doctor's office over some urine test results that were inaccurately positive for a drug I wasn't taking. After much arguing with them, they agreed to give me a GC/MS on my next visit-which provides the only definitive results. Imunoassay tests (the cheap kind that give immediate results) are notoriously shaky.

Rather than just waiting for my next appointment and hoping for the best, I bought this test and took it myself. The results come back within minutes and I'm happy to report they were accurate: positive for amphetamines (correct-I take ADHD meds which is why I have to be tested by my MD) and negative for barbiturates (the drug that kept showing up erroneously in my urine.)

There is a specimen cup provided, with a lid you attach that shows results for 12 substances. It was a little confusing when I read the instructions beforehand, but it's easy to use. Pee in the cup, attach the lid firmly, turn the cup on its side with the label face up and wait for around 5 minutes (also, be aware that the results are no longer valid after a certain interval of time.) The brochure gives you examples on how to read it and it's pretty easy to follow. There is only one test/sample needed for all 12 drugs. You cannot pick and chose what you test for-it's one test per box.

Best of all, you can mail them your positive results and they will supposedly do a GC/MS to verify them. The kit also includes a pre-addressed box and even a baggy to put your cup in. So mail my urine sample I did, and their lab results matched the initial finding. Their brochure said the results would take 5-7 days. Maybe I caught them on a good week, as they processed my results 2 days after receiving my sample.

this is a good way to find out whether a loved one is abusing any of 12 drugs, from weed to coke to opiates. The results appear quickly, but sometimes can appear ambiguous. So then you send the sample to the company's lab by mail, in a box that comes with the kit. After about a week, you can get what is represented as a more definitive result. Who really knows whether they run their own separate test on the sample? Or whether they just look at your test result and see what you saw and make their own conclusion. .
