About the Author

Dr. Donald D. Gray is Associate Professor and Group Coordinator for Environmental and Hydrotechnical Engineering in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at West Virginia University. He is an award winning instructor who regularly teaches a first course in fluid mechanics as well as other courses to students ranging from freshmen to doctoral candidates. He has been a principal lecturer in more than a dozen short courses on the design of alternative sewers and urban stormwater systems.

Dr. Gray is the author or co-author of more than 110 papers and reports on various aspects of fluid mechanics. His research projects have been sponsored by NASA, the Air Force, the Navy, the Department of Energy, and several state agencies and private companies. Dr. Gray holds a Professional Engineer license.
