I purchased the Ergometer because I needed an alternate exercise method. I was injured and have limited use of my legs. This is a great machine and provides a good work-out. The different levels make it easy to adjust your exercise program for the day. And the higher levels are indeed difficult, which is nice. The only drawback I found is when I tried to work-out from a wheelchair. I found it hard to stabilize the chair when on the higher levels of the machine. I suppose this would work out if you were trying to do a mild exercise, but that was not my intention. So if a person were actually wheelchair bound, you would have to figure out a way to stabilize your chair well. Other than that, great machine that offers a good work-out.
