5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST for any guitarist!, June 28, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: First (Audio CD)
Phil Keaggy is easily the most underrated guitarist in the world. Glass Harp was his first band and were developing a pretty good following when Phil converted to christianity. The band put out another record before breaking up and Phil embarked on his solo/christian rock career. Glass Harp`s music is akin to the early Yes albums and Phil is definitely on a par with Steve Howe and others. For those not interested in hearing the sometimes cheesy lyrics Good News! Mr. Keaggy also has at least 3 instrumental releases that belong in everyones collection: The Master & The Musician (his first), The Wind and the Wheat, and Beyond Nature are all fantastic, good listening albums! Phil has the ability of jazz great Al Dimeola but more melodic!

5.0 out of 5 stars BEST CD EVER MADE, June 7, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: First (Audio CD)
In 1971 I had the pleasure of seeing this band perform live in concert at the Fillmore East, I then went and bought this album, 28 years later I bought the CD and the music still sounds as wonderful as it did those many years ago...The guitar of Phil Keaggy still mystifies and takes the listener to a higher high...Recommended Cuts include Garden, Can You See Me, and Look In the Sky.....Listen for yourself to the forerunners of what is now known as "Christian Rock"
