I really like this book. I just received it, but was a little frustrated that the Setting organizer was not available in the book!!! It was the one that really caught my eye and made me want to buy it. I feel a little cheated. Overall its a very good resource.

I love this graphic organizers! They are cute, eye catching, and yet, do not distract the students from completing their work. These are great for the students who need to visually see compenents of a story to understand. They can be done individually or as a small group. I use them with special education students and they are awesome. I have seen improvement of story element concepts in my students after a few weeks of use. Students get familiar with the graphic organizers and quickly learn how to fill them out. After using them for a while, I noticed my students would already be thinking about what parts of the story fit into which boxes. There are about 3 or 4 organizers for different areas such as main ideas, beginning middle and end, characters, and sequence. There is the right kind of organizer for every student! Great also for work in general populations I would say from K-3rd grade.

This book is filled with a number of different graphic organizers. They are very child friendly. You should be able to find a graphic organizer for almost any topic or focus area.

I like the book but it was disappointing that one of the organizers that is featured in the cover is not in the book. It was one of the graphic organizers that I was looking forward to using.
