5.0 out of 5 stars fun and yummy sufganiyot!, December 7, 2007
This review is from: A First Jewish Holiday Cookbook (Paperback)
We've had this cookbook for about 20 years. Great chicken soup recipe! and the sufganiyot are so cute. We used to put a bowl of the chocolate glaze in the middle of the table and all the kids would dip their "donuts" in. What a mess! but great fun on chanukah! (make sure they're wearing aprons!) All the recipes are easy and fun and delicious. It's not fancy, but the illustrations are charming and there's some info about each holiday in there, so it's a good gift for someone who could benefit from a little knowledge about Jewish holidays. When my daughter got married I couldn't bear to part with it, even though I had gotten it as a gift for her when she was little. Now I use it with my grandchildren.
