An overlooked in par-excellance great soundtrack!!,
By movie buff (NY) - See all my reviews
This review is from: First Kid (Audio CD)
First Kid was a favorite movie of mine as a kid. Whenever I saw it I would always really get into the music. However it was not available once I decided to finally get the soundtrack. Finally I ordered it and it turned out to be one of the best soundtracks i've got. There were one or two songs that did not appear on it but i was easily able to overlook that because it had The Pressure Part 1 by:Sounds of Blackness, Girl U Want by Devo, How How by Yello and other cool and funky hits which went along nicely with the movie. The one song I know which was not on the soundtrack was Love Shack by the B52's. Wouldn't it be great if Disney kept out all the soundtracks instead of removing them off the shelves after a little while? This soundtrack is out of print so be sure to order it while you still can. You won't regret it!

Dream Album,
This review is from: First Kid (Audio CD)
Some people spend there lives looking for long forgotten soundtracks. This is because all the movies seem to have that score we love or that song that wasn't released anywhere else. The problem always seems to be the same, either there is a soundtrack and are favorite songs are missing from it, no soundtrack was made or it dissapeared a few months after it's release. Face it folks it's a suffering, a continuel search for what we love. Thankfully it's becoming a little bit easier to find our beloved music we've enjoyed from the movies we've watched as kids or adults with amazon.com. So here it is: The First Kid soundtrack, don't bother asking for it in stores, this rare soundtrack is only available on the net and is well worth the buy. The memories start pouring through once you listen to this album. It only lacks about two tracks which are: Fantastic Voyage By Lakeside: when Sinbad is teaching Luke how to dance & Love Shack: when Luke first enters the dance he was stricken from attending. However I hail this soundtrack for it memorable hits from the 80's and 90's with the Pressure part 1: which is shown in the scenes when Luke is learning self defence with Sinbad, and Devo's Girl You Want: when Luke secretly attends his girlfriend's party. You even get a track with the movie's original score. This CD is well worth it!
