5.0 out of 5 stars Fun Book for Kids!, March 6, 2005
This review is from: First Kids (Step into Reading) (Paperback)
Children often wonder how they fit in to the world. This is a fun book for children and an eye opening one too. There were children in the White House! They actually played and had fun too. Kids will love this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars *OPPENHEIM BEST BOOK GOLD AWARD WINNER*, April 30, 2011
This review is from: First Kids (Step into Reading) (Paperback)
Nearly 200 kids have lived in the White House. Some loved it. Others couldn't wait to leave. Have students weigh the pros and cons of being First Kid. Short easy-to-read chapters describe Lincoln's mischievous boys, Grant's son, Teddy Roosevelt's six children and menagerie of exotic pets, the Coolidge boys, Caroline and John Kennedy, Chelsea Clinton and the cover kids, Malia and Sasha Obama.

A terrific companion book is WACKIEST WHITE HOUSE PETS (Parents' Choice Gold Award) by Gibbs Davis.

3.0 out of 5 stars Bush Kids Missing, February 17, 2011
This review is from: First Kids (Step into Reading) (Paperback)
I loved the book but there is huge omission - there is NO mention of the Bush twins - yet the Obama kids are mentioned and featured on the cover... can someone at AMAZON please help me understand this. I had to tell my kids about the Bush twins - but could not tell them why they were omitted from the book.
