5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!, March 7, 2000

The music was terrific, possibly the best satire group, and definetly the best political satire. "On the Dole again"(parody of Maria) will have you laughing in tears. The album heats up in the middle, especially "Like a Suburban Drone". It was perfectly done. Lirty Dies delivers perfectly again and makes you wonder why they don't make it an album on it's own. Perfectly done, A+ to the Capitol Steps.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Capitol Steps are a riot!, May 8, 2008

I have been listening to the Capitol Steps since I was 10 years old. I'm 26 now and I still can't get enough of them. The love affair started with "76 Bad Loans," Then, when I was about 14, I got to see them in concert at VA Tech and I got to meet Bill Strauss, the director, who just died recently. I will consider that an honor for the rest of my life. I had been wanting this particular album since right after it came out, and then my banker lent me his copy of the cassette that he bought at a Capitol Steps Concert. And so I copied it before returning it and have loved it. It has some very funny songs my favorite would have to be "The Millenium Bug." They've also recycled some other parodies such as "Like A Suburban Drone," from their 1990 Sheik, Rattle and Roll album. Needless to say, the tape is in pretty sorry shape. I've pretty much worn it out. I ordered my CD copy not long ago, and I can't WAIT for it to come in the mail! Now if only the Capitol Steps would bring back on CD their educational cassette "From Yankee Doodle to Pander Bear."
