First Love, Wild Love is not to be missed!
Texas, 1878
Calinda Braxton was an American born, England raised beauty seeking to get her life started. During the civil war, her father sent her to relatives in England until he could get his life settled on a ranch in the Texas wilderness and send for her to join him. Through the years, his letters became less frequent and less promising until they stopped completely. She needed to know why, so as soon as she reached of age, she set out to find her father. All she had was a few dollars, a few clothes and a portrait locket of her parents. As soon as she arrived in Texas, she was robbed of all her possessions, including the beloved locket. Destitute, she found solace in a brothel and a handsome rugged, gunslinging stranger in her bed. Incited from sleep by his tenderness, she surrendered to a night of passion. She never dreamed this unknown man was a revered Texas Ranger on a secret mission who had connections to her past and future.
This is a very enjoyable read! Don't pass it up!

Also my first!, June 5, 2002
This was also my first adult historical romance, back in 1989. I loved this book. It was so full of adventure and well developed characters. Like Lia below, this book hooked me fish, line, and sinker. I love reading Janelle Taylor's historical romances, but I wish she was writing more historicals still, rather than contemporaries. She's a really gifted Western and Indian romance writer. Thank goodness, I picked this book up 13 years ago. It introduced me to a whole new genre and hours upon hours of reading pleasure.

Wild and Wonderful, December 12, 2011
If you like Texas settings and Texas Ranger stories, you will love this ebook. It was fascinating that almost all the characters were real people. I think this will be one of my favorites by Taylor.
