First Nature's Bird Waterer and Birdbath features a durable water reservoir that holds over 100 ounces of water, then releases it into four separate drinking pools on demand. The First Nature Bird Waterer and Birdbath can be mounted on a 4-Inch x 4-Inch post or can be hung with a chain (not included) and S hook. Simply remove the water reservoir and fill it with fresh cool water. In between fillings, both the reservoir and the drinking pools can be washed with warm soapy water. As the birds bathe in or consume the water, it's instantly replenished from the reservoir. A good water source is one that is shallow (less than 3 inches) and one that is easily refreshed. Clean, fresh water is essential to attracting and providing for a healthy wild bird population. The First Nature Bird Bath and Waterer is ideal. This thing is a dream. I have a 4 hanger feeding station in my back yard that includes a suet feeder, squirrel-be-gone hopper feeder, a glass ball hummingbird feeder, and this unit. The watering areas are small enough that birds can't sit in it and make it a mess. Fresh water trickles down to the watering stations as needed. Once a week I toss it and the other feeders in the dishwasher with a cup of vinager on "quick rinse", towel dry and hang back up. I will never go back to the slimey pedistal models again. I think this is a far healthier and convenient way to water my feathered friends.

I agree with the first comment. I have two of the pedastals and they dry up quickly here in the Texas summers and leave behind dried algae and droppings. I found these and bought 3 of them. A couple of other points are: it's made in the USA in Rogers, AR. and it's unconditionally gauranteed for life. Keep your receipt and the label. It has the address for the manufacturer on it.

I can't say enough good things about this bird bath, and my whole experience with it.

First of all, this item shipped extremely fast, despite the fact that I didn't pay for expedited shipping. I ordered it one Saturday afternoon, and received it Tuesday morning.

It's made in the USA. Nuff said.

While I agree with the first commenter, just read carefully what they said about cleaning your bird bath. A lot of people might read those comments, see the word dishwasher, and not pay full attention. The commenter said they put the bath in the dishwasher on "quick rinse". That's important, because these days most dishwashers have a dry cycle. If you run your bath through a dishwasher dry cycle, it will most likely melt. So do like the first poster said, run it through a quick rinse and then dry by hand.

I had a pedestal style copper plate bird bath. That thing didn't even last a season. What a piece of junk. This bath is much sturdier even though it's made of plastic and should provide much more enjoyment. I highly recommend it.
