I loved this book so much I ordered 15 copies to send to my closest family as my Christmas Card. The book opens to reveal 5 lovely silhouette cutouts of the nativity. It opens so completely so that the front and back cover meet together and tie to form a 5 sided star shaped hanging sculpture. Very beautiful! I highly recommend this book. It would make a great table centerpiece as well as hanging decoration. My children were thrilled with our copy.

Warsaw born Jan Pienkowski grew up in a family of architects and artists. Fortunately for us, especially the younger readers, he inherited their gifts in good measure.

His latest is a Christmas carousel book illustrating the story of the first Christmas with three dimensional cut-out silhouettes. The cheery book, which measures 5 3/4" by 10", utilizes holiday colors of green, red, and white. The silhouettes are white showcased against a bright shiny red background, and finely edged in gold.

Ties, which enable the book to be secured when opened are sturdy with shoestring ends, and there is a loop for hanging. When hung the carousel measures approximately 9" in diameter.

Youngsters will enjoy having their own telling of the Christmas story, in this unique, eye catching form.

This is an absolutely incredible book. My parents gave me this book and I loved it. Then one Sunday I used it for the Children's Sermon at church. My phone absolutely rang off the hook with people asking me where they could purchase this book. It is a treasure for adults and children alike!

The book was above my expectations. Such a lovely idea to display the Nativity story. I'm going to order another. Great service!

This book is GREAT- wonderful detail. Plus.... there is a ribon on top so you can make the book circular and show off all the pages at one and place on table or hang from ceiling

This is delightful but not for a 5 year old. I plan to keep it and give to my grand later or perhaps I hang it and use it myself. It is a wonderful picture of the Christmas Story but if buying it for a child they need to be at least 8. It's well constructed and fun to look at. The detail work of the popups are very good.

Amazon scored a good one in getting this book. It is beautifully done and very decorative...very little text in telling the Christmas Story so additional comments would be helpful if reading to a small child..my 8 year old granddaughter loved it and the fact it unfolds into a star.

I've bought the book due to my love for paper cuts, but this cute little book is more than that. The color combinations, the paper engineering, the ribbons, all the details make it a perfect little surprise even for the most jaded adult or child. I agree with another reviewer, use it as a gift and you wont be sorry.

This book is really a work of art which folds out into a carousel of layered paper cuts. The pictures of the appearance of the angels to the shepherds alone are worth the price of the book. This little book will enchant all ages, although children should be supervised as they enjoy it due to the fragile details of the cuts themselves.

This is such a wonderful book. It not only has a moving story, but becomes a beautiful decoration. I have gotten several of these as gifts for friends and would highly recommend them to anyone for any age.
