As a child of the 80s, I grew up listening to Corey Hart, and "Sunglasses At Night" and "Never Surrender" were two of the most iconic songs to come out of the 80s. While those are probably his most well-known songs, these two CDs offer songs that still sound great after all these years, and are (in my opinion) just as good if not better than those two. I don't think there's a single bad song on either of these albums.

Having said that, you should be aware that the version of "It Ain't Enough" on this First Offense disc is NOT the original version; it's the version that's on "The Best Of Corey Hart" and "The Singles". I don't know what version is on the original First Offense CD, but I have the original First Offense cassette, and the music is different than this version.

I grew up in the early 80's and I was introduced to "never surrender" at the age of 15. I was going through some tough family and personal times and the song "spoke" to me. The boy in the box cd is just a great cd! "Watiting for YOU" is one of my favorite tracks, a great melody w/ music and lyrics to match. "Everything in my heart" is a beautiful ballad, while "Eurasian eyes" is a haunting yet rocking song. "Komrade Kiev" is also another rocking pop rock song w/ some guitar riffs and the song's statement to "Shoot Komrade Kiev, that's what they're telling me!". The First Offense Cd is a great CD as well! Of course WHO grew up in the 80's and did not like "Sunglasses at night"? The ballad "Ain't enough for you" is so beautiful and lyrically smart and dosed w/ a little pain, Corey's vocals being soft, sultry, powerful, and sexy. "Does she love you" is another pop rock gem that showded what Corey Hart was going to deliver later on! To have BOTH these CD's in ONE is just AWESOME! I def reccomend any 80's or Corey Hart fan to buy this duo CD! :D
