My First Princess Bathtime Ariel Bath Doll

I have had a hard time finding a bath doll for my daughter. When this came out I was thrilled!! My Daughter loves the Disney Princesses and this is perfect!

The reason why I like it so much is that she is made of fabric and dries out quickly so I'm not concerned about water collecting and molding - we've had to get rid of quite a few toys because the water doesn't come out of the toy...this one is no problem.

She's pretty durable, too - NO problem with ripping, hair falling out, fading or just falling apart.

Although she doesn't do much - my daughter loves just having her in the bathtub since she can't take her other dolls in. And it is cool to see her hair under the water.

This is an excellent tub toy for any little girl (especially Toddlers) that likes Princesses - and it's a great price!

I bought this toy for my daughter's first birthday, and not only does she love it, but my son thinks it's great too! It's perfect for toddlers- they like to take their own wash cloth and clean her face, and "wash" her hair in the bathwater. She has held up amazingly well, and dries really quickly so that I don't have to worry about her molding like so many other bath toys we've had in the past. I highly recommend it!!

Cute toy, but the hair has been falling out since day one. My 2 1/2 yr old daughter gets very frustrated and can't brush the doll's hair without ending up w/ clumps of red hair in her hands. It was a 2003 Christmas present and it probably won't last past Easter.

I can't tell you how much fun my 3 year old has had with this. She has wanted her in the bath with her every night for six months. How many other toys can hold the attention of a preschooler like this?

If you live in a humid part of the country, your mermaid MIGHT get mildew eventually (all it takes is...oops...forgetting a few times that mermaid was left sopping wet in the tub).

This toy is great in the tub or out. She dries quick, so no worries of mold.

I bought this for my 20 month old. She really enjoys dolls, and the red hair is icing on the cake. She is soft, great for in the tub or out, and she is a serious piece of eye candy for a little girl. Very huggable and soft for sleeping with. Awesome doll that stands out in a crowd.

Now, this certanly is not the most beautiful Ariel doll, but it's the one to play with! Now, I know that might sound weird, but I'm a collecter who just LOVES Ariel, but every time I buy an Ariel doll, I figure she's too nice so I just put her on display. For this doll though, the case is different! I LOVE having an Ariel I can feel free to "play" with! I don't have to worry about "messing up her hair" or anything like that, she's just a fun doll. She's very cute, she looks nicer in person than in the photo, and she really does dries quickly. She also was a very reasonable price, so being the Ariel lover I am, I just couldn't resist!

Tips for Bathtime Ariel

1 - Don't brush her hair with the comb she comes with! It doesn't work at all! Use a normal hairbrush or a doll's hairbrush.

2 - Since Ariel is "top heavy" (she has a plastic head and a soft body) she can "dive"! While in the pool or tub, gently toss her upwards, her head will come down first, making it seem like she is diving!

3 - As another reviewer said, Ariel's hair really does look pretty underwater! It's so fun to hold her by the middle and make her "swim" like a mermaid!

My 20month old has been sleeping with this doll EVERY night and naptime (2 a day) since she got it for her first birthday. She loves to play with her hair before she goes to sleep and won't take any other doll to sleep with. Ariel stays in her crib (by my daughter's choice) so she knows where it is when it's time to go down. It's great!
