I bought this for my neighbor's 20 month old daughter who has MD. The pieces are on strings which makes working with them much less frustrating for little fingers with little control. Also, the puzzle has different textures on it which is great for sensory excercises.

We got a set of 3 puzzles for our daughter last Christmas (when she was only 6months old). But she loves exploring different materials, fabrics,...so the puzzles were a lot of fun right away. She was able to pull, scratch, lick and yes, bite all of the parts and by now, she enjoys taking the pieces out over and over again. She looks at the puzzle (like a book), please by herself with them or I make up a story while we play together. And guess what - she just found out the duck "quacks" when you hit/press its belly......I had no idea :-)
