First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test, 3 tests

I know the box says you can get a positive up to 5 days before your missed period, but everyone needs to understand that you CANNOT get a positive until after implantation occurs. This might happen early... but it also might not. Read the directions and the percentage of women who actually get a positive 5 or even 4 days early. I didn't get a positive with my son until AFTER I was a day late and with my daughter it was only 1 day early.

I missed my period & tried First Response Pregnancy Test. What showed is a very faint pink line which the instructions said is POSITIVE! I went to the doc who took my urine test & the doc said it's negative. I thought this product [stinks]. But then I still didn't have my period so after 3 days my doc took my urine sample again & took my blood and yup! I'm really POSITIVE! That means this First Response Pregnancy Test really works! It beats my doc's pregnancy tests!

I bought these tests because most of the reviews and the manufacturer themselves claim that they are "the most sensitive on the market." I have to COMPLETELY disagree. I took this test a day before my missed period (NEGATIVE), the day of my missed period (NEGATIVE), two days after my missed period (NEGATIVE), and three days after my missed period (NEGATIVE).

I'm already a mom and have been pregnant before, and suspecting that I indeed was again, I decided to try a different test, E.P.T, on the third day of my missed period (immediately after I got the negative from the First Response). I got a VERY faint plus sign using the E.P.T., but a plus sign nonetheless (POSITIVE). To confirm, I tested the next morning with two other brands (ClearBlue and Generic), and also got positive results (this time much clearer and more obvious). For kicks, I tested with another First Response at the same time as I tested with the ClearBlue and Generic, and was appalled to see that it was still negative and obviously incorrect at this point.

I am fairly well educated on the subject of pregnancy and pregnancy testing, and I know all about implantation and the reasons why a pregnancy test can be negative for a few days after a missed period before it turns positive. I understand that first of the morning urine has the highest levels of HCG, and always made sure to test first thing in the morning. What I will never understand is why a test that is supposed to be so "ultra sensitive" didn't pick up on my pregnancy when literally every other test did. I finally got the FAINTEST positive on the First Response when I used the last test I had this morning, 5 days past my expected period. Bizarre.

I'm just glad that there are other brands out there that could easily confirm my suspicions, despite spending a small fortune on pregnancy tests. :-)

I love this pregnancy test. The first time I got pregnant I tried some others and they always confused the hell out of me (phantom plus signs, mixed with negative results from the other tests in the same box, being able to see part of the word "Not" before the word "Pregnant" etc.) And I promise I tool them all acroding to the instructions on the box. I took seven all together before I found this one. This is the only one that gave me a clear positive result! I also used it to discover I was pregnant again recently and I got another clear positive result. Very easy to use, and very clear results. I would definately recomend this to anyone.

I used this test back in 2000 with my first baby. I had the faintest pink line show up, so faint that I had to ask my husband if he even saw a line. Sure enough, I was pregnant!

I took the second test with my second pregnancy, severak days before I missed my period. I took the test at night and got a definite second pink line. Pregnant again. That baby arrived in 2003. Hoping for a 3rd baby next year. I will be using this test for my results!

I wasn't even 4 wks pregnant when this test gave me my + result! I've been told to use first morning urine when taking a pregnancy test to get better results. I took the test mid afternoon and I got a faint line (visible from about 10 ft away). My hcg numbers weren't even in the triple digits yet (I had them checked a week later).
If you want accurate results...early, then buy this pregnancy test!!!

Although the test was negative for me 6 days early, it was positive 4 days early. Implantation can occur as late as day 12 from what I hear so take caution when testing too early!

Good test, but don't use it too early! I tested at 9dpo and it was negative. Still no period for a few days and tested again at 12dpo and got my very first positive ever!! Also used a Clearblue easy test on the same day and the positive was much fainter than the first response. Good Luck!

I had never liked this product before, but that was because I had never gotten a positive result! And for one very good reason, I was NEVER pregnant those times! So from experience, I know what a negatigve looks like! Anyways, this past Sunday, I took a FRER and to my shock, it said "positive"! It was so faint though, I thought I was going crazy, but my hubby saw it too! (We weren't trying, as I just had my first baby 6 months ago! This was an oops!) My period was due the next day, so I was little worried that the line was so light. So the next morning I took a Clearblue test that I had, and got a negative! I was very confused at this point, and then when I went to the bathroom again, I had started bleeding! I still went out and bought another FRER test, and it came back with the faintest positive, so I thought that there was still hope. I also went to my doctors that same day for a blood test still, but by the end of the day, I knew I wasn't pregnant anymore. The blood test came back negative to prove it. I know now that I had what is called a "chemical pregnancy" which is a very early miscarriage. So, if it can pick up that small an amount of hcg, then that is amazing! I will always use this brand in the future! I totally trust it! (We want 2 more kids!) Oh, and just to prove to myself that I wasn't going crazy, I took another test today (Thursday), and it was a definite negative! It is also hours later, and there is no hint of a line where the positive would be!! FRER rarely rarely have evap lines! You can trust this test! If you get a positive, trust it! If your period starts after you get a positive like me, it was probably a chemical pregnancy. False positives are very rare. So I give this product, 5 out of 5!! Oh, and when I called and told them my experience, they offered to send me a coupon for a free replacement test! Awesome! :)

Easy to use and read. A little hard to get enough urine on it from holding in the stream, but the instructions for using a cup worked great for me.
