Remove Overcap. Simply hold the test stick by the Thumb Grip with the Absorbent Tip pointing downward and the Result Window facing away from your body. Place the Absorbent Tip in your urine stream for 5 seconds. Lay the test stick down on a flat surface with the Result Window facing up. You may soon see a purple color moving across the Clear Top to indicate that the test is working. Read your results at 5 minutes. Follow complete instructions inside box before use. Results: LH Surge - Two similar purple lines. The presence of two similar purple lines in the Result Window means that you have detected your LH surge. The test line may be darker than the reference line. No LH Surge - One purple reference line. The presence of one line or two lines with the test line lighter than the reference line, indicates that you have not yet reached your LH surge. Store in a dry place below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Do not freeze. This kit contains test sticks for 5 days of testing and instructions for use. However, since menstrual cycles can be irregular, if 5 days of testing does not detect your hormone surge, you may continue testing with a second First Response Easy-Read Ovulation Predictor Test. Once you think you may be pregnant, you can test this as early as four days before you expect your period by using the First Response Early Result Pregnancy Test included in this carton.

The first month of trying to get pregnant I used a more expensive clear blue digital test which didn't work properly as I kept getting errors of all sorts. I then got a cheap drug store brand which apparently didn't work either. I immediately ordered this for my next cycle, it was simple and easy to use. After my first try with it, I'm now 8 weeks pregnant. So what can I say, it works.

My husband and I have been off of birth control for almost a year now. I have had pretty irregular cycles since going off of the pill. I had tried the OPK with the little smiley face and never did get a positive result. I may have started using it too early, which is obviously a user error, but I felt that with the first response brand I was able to compare the lines instead of a smiley doing the work for me. After temping for a few months I was more easily able to figure out when to use the OPK and finally got a positive test. The lines for me were easy to distinguish (and I was very happy to get any kind of positive result). Buying the tests on Amazon was more cost effective than at the drugstore and I did receive them in a timely manner. The only thing that I am not able to add to this review is whether or not they worked. I am still waiting to find out. So if you read this review, please keep your fingers crossed for me.

I found that the lines were hard to read. It was hard to determine if one line was lighter than the other one. Each time i used them the lines looked the same. The price was really good and it came with a free pregnancy test.
