5.0 out of 5 stars Very goo technical book but
I found it to be a great book for technical stuff. I'm new to constructing and engineering and have never finished it in University and just had to take over someone's place at a job. But I have to say that I was dissapointed only at one thing: It does have a vast variety of different Snap-fits but I was hoping that I could find a table with all possible snap fits in it...

I was really disappointed in this book for two major reasons... First, despite its many pages, it really only contains about 10 unique "mechanical" ideas. And the bulk of the remaining space is dedicated to over-analyzing the theory of each design, and the math of why they work. I think most designers would see the analysis a superfluous, a discussion on what most...

I was really disappointed in this book for two major reasons... First, despite its many pages, it really only contains about 10 unique "mechanical" ideas. And the bulk of the remaining space is dedicated to over-analyzing the theory of each design, and the math of why they work. I think most designers would see the analysis a superfluous, a discussion on what most would consider to be mechnical common sense. But what really irritated me about this book is that after spending a sizable amount of money on it, I discovered that it can be viewed in its entirely for free via Google-books.

Like for example I found a few snap fits that are not listen in the book but I still have to say that is is quite an excellent book. It would be great to have a very large table of all possible snap fits at the back and some data.
