I think the other reviewers are way off base here. This is a fine beginner's stamp album, the kind that has introduced new generations to the hobby for years. In answer to "W D'souza", the value of the stamp is not destroyed once you stick it to the album if you use a common stamp hinge. You can purchase 1000 hinges for a couple bucks anywhere. In answer to "K Clausen", the cover of the album says "pictures of stamps from all over the world", so you should not have been surprised that it was international. Finally, to "Ct Yankee" and "sometimes", who complained that the album is not hardcover and that the pictures are in black and white, what do you expect for $6.95? Granted, I would have preferred a larger, sturdier album for around $20, but I don't see one on the market.

I bought this album for my 12 yr. old grandson. Being new to stamp collecting, our thought was to have him focus on U.S. stamps first, since he was given a whole sackful of them by a relative.
The album was not described as being international, but that's what it was., so it was a bit of a disappointment.

not exactly a stamp album as the title suggested. The space for stamps are simply blanks on the paper. The stamp pictures are all black and white and some of the information given is not accurate.

I bought A first Stamp Album for Beginners:Revised Editon. I am returning this product. The process of returning the product to Amazon seems to be cool.
The criteria for an stamp album is to insert stamps in the Album like a photo album and remove them when you need. This is like a stamp collage. The value of the stamp is destroyed once you stick into this album.

Too flimsy to stand up to multiple "readings" by the beginning stamp collector. Go for a hard cover book instead.
