About the Author

G. Roger Schoenhals of Edmonds, Washington, is the publisher and editor of Planned Giving Today®, a subscription-based, monthly newsletter for gift-planning professionals. Launched in September 1990, the publication has more than 6,000 readers throughout North America. More than 600 successful gift-planning professionals across the United Sates have contributed articles designed to inform, inspire and increase your effectiveness. In addition to publishing several newsletters, books and CDs focusing on planned giving. Roger has served as editorial director of a Midwest Publishing House and has conducted writing clinics throughout the United States. He has published over 2,000 articles in more than a hundred periodicals. He has written or edited 40 books and three CDs, many of these for planned giving officers. He is the former director of Seattle Pacific Foundation and chief planned giving officer for Seattle Pacific University. He is a past president of the Washington Planned Giving Council and has served on the governing boards of the National Committee on Planned Giving and various organizations, including educational and financial institutions.
